3-Day Honeymoon Itinerary for Assam in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Guwahati
    Guwahati Airport to Kamakhya Temple: 30 minutes (13 km)

    Morning: Visit the holy Kamakhya Temple that boasts of ancient Assamese architecture and scenic beauty. Take a 15-minute walk to the Umananda Temple, the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Enjoy a boat ride in Brahmaputra River.

    Afternoon: Meet the Mishing tribe at their villages and learn about the traditional weaving process and handicrafts. Try the local delicacies like the fish curry and bamboo shoot pickle.

    Evening: Take a sunset boat ride in the Brahmaputra River and visit the bird sanctuary to watch rare migratory birds.
