Relaxing Itinerary for Meghalaya in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Shillong Peak
    20 minutes (6.1 km) from Police Bazaar

    In the morning, soak in the picturesque view of Meghalaya from the highest point in Shillong. Afternoon is perfect to visit Elephant Falls, located 30 minutes (12 km) from Shillong Peak. Enjoy the beauty of the waterfall and relax in the surrounding greenery. In the evening, explore the local culture at Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures, just 20 minutes (7 km) from Elephant Falls.

  2. Day 2: Visit Mawlynnong Village
    2 hours (90 km) from Shillong

    Start your day with a scenic two-hour drive to Mawlynnong Village, known as Asia's cleanest village and located on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Take a walk around the village and witness the local Khasi culture. In the afternoon, visit the Living Root Bridges in Riwai Village, just 30 minutes (20 km) from Mawlynnong. In the evening, relax at Dawki River, located 1 hour (40 km) from Riwai Village, to witness the cleanest river in India.

  3. Day 3: Visit Nohkalikai Falls
    3 hours (110 km) from Dawki

    Start early to visit the Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. The drive from Dawki to the falls will take you through winding roads, lush green forests, and small villages, making the journey as beautiful as the destination. Afternoon is perfect to visit Mawsmai Cave, located 1 hour (30 km) from the falls. In the evening, relax at Laitlum Canyon, known for its panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
