4-Day Itinerary for Chennai in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Marina Beach
    20 minutes (5.8 km) from Chennai International Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Marina Beach, the second-longest beach in the world. Take a stroll along the shore, watch the sunrise, or enjoy a cup of coffee at a beachside café.   2. Day 2: Mahabalipuram
    1 hour 30 minutes (56 km) from Chennai

    In the morning, take a drive to Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its spectacular temples and rock-cut sculptures. Visit the iconic Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas, and Arjuna's Penance. In the afternoon, explore the Crocodile Bank, a conservation center that is home to over 2,000 crocodiles. In the evening, return to Chennai and enjoy a traditional South Indian meal at one of the city's many restaurants.

  3. Day 3: Fort St. George and Santhome Cathedral

In the afternoon, head to VGP Universal Kingdom, one of the most popular amusement parks in Chennai. Enjoy the thrilling rides, water park, and live shows. In the evening, shop for souvenirs at the Pondy Bazaar or T Nagar, two of the city's busiest shopping districts.

If you have more time, consider visiting the Arignar Anna Zoological Park, one of the largest zoos in South Asia.
