Recommendations

If you have time, consider taking a day trip to Alleppey to experience a backwater cruise on a traditional houseboat. You could also visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy a jungle safari or bamboo rafting. To maximize your fun, try some local delicacies like appam with stew, puttu with kadala curry, and fish curry with rice. Don't forget to buy some spices and tea as souvenirs. Finally, make sure to carry umbrellas as it may rain frequently in June.
