4-Day Goa Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Basílica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (16.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Basílica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in India. The church houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. In the evening, stroll along the Calangute Beach and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 30 minutes (64 km) from Calangute Beach

    Start your day with a visit to the Dudhsagar Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. You can take a trek to the waterfall or take a Jeep safari. In the afternoon, visit the Old Goa Museum which showcases the history of Goa. In the evening, relax at the Colva Beach and enjoy the nightlife.

  3. Day 3: Fort Aguada
    30 minutes (15.9 km) from Colva Beach

    In the morning, visit Fort Aguada which was built in 1612 as a defense against the Dutch and the Marathas. The fort offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, visit the Naval Aviation Museum which showcases the history of aviation in India. In the evening, enjoy a river cruise on the Mandovi River.

  4. Day 4: Anjuna Flea Market
    40 minutes (20.1 km) from Mandovi River

    In the morning, visit the Shanta Durga Temple, one of the largest and most famous temples in Goa. In the afternoon, head to the Anjuna Flea Market which has a variety of goods such as clothes, jewelry, and handicrafts. In the evening, enjoy a Goan cuisine dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf.

Other places to consider visiting are the Museum of Christian Art, the Terekhol Fort, and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Side trips to consider are a day trip to the Chapora Fort or a trip to the Spice Plantation. To maximize your fun, try water sports such as parasailing or jet skiing.
