6-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    20 minutes (10.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    Start your trip by visiting the famous Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in India. Explore the beautiful architecture and the rich history of the church, which houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Take a stroll in the lovely gardens before heading to Panaji, the capital city of Goa.

  2. Day 2: Fontainhas and Dona Paula Beach
    15 minutes (5.5 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, take a walk in Fontainhas, the old Latin Quarter of Goa, and admire the colourful Portuguese-style houses. Afterward, head to Dona Paula Beach, a perfect spot for relaxing, swimming or indulging in water sports activities. For an evening adventure, head to the bustling night market of Anjuna, which offers an array of local handicrafts, clothing, and food.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 10 minutes (75 km) from Anjuna

    Drive to the enchanting Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Enjoy a train ride through the lush green forests before reaching the waterfalls. Take a dip in the refreshing waters or click some memorable photographs. On the way back, visit the spice plantations and enjoy a traditional Goan lunch.

  4. Day 4: Fort Aguada and Candolim Beach
    40 minutes (19 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

    Start your morning by visiting the picturesque Fort Aguada, which stands majestically on the hilltop overlooking the Arabian Sea. Explore the fort and its lighthouse, which offers an excellent view of the coastline. Then, head to Candolim Beach, which offers a vibrant nightlife scene. Enjoy a drink at one of the beach shacks or dance the night away at a local club.

  5. Day 5: Chapora Fort and Vagator Beach
    30 minutes (12 km) from Candolim Beach

    Explore the Chapora Fort, a historical fort known for its starring role in the Bollywood movie Dil Chahta Hai. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Arabian Sea from the top of the fort. Later, head to Vagator Beach, a serene and tranquil beach surrounded by hills. Visit the nearby Chapora Village and try some local seafood delicacies.

  6. Day 6: Colva Beach and Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church
    1 hour 45 minutes (45 km) from Vagator Beach

    End your trip by visiting the beautiful Colva Beach, the longest beach in Goa. Relax in the sun, enjoy water sports activities or go for a stroll in the evening. Later, visit the iconic Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, located in the heart of Panaji. Explore the beautiful architecture and attend the Sunday Mass for a unique spiritual experience.
