Kasauli 2-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Sunset Point
    10 minutes (4.5 km) from Kasauli Bus Stand

    Start your day with a visit to the famous Sunset Point, where you can witness a picturesque view of the sun setting behind the mountains. It is a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers. After enjoying the breathtaking view, head to the Gilbert Nature Trail for a peaceful walk amidst the lush greenery. In the afternoon, visit the Kasauli Brewery, the oldest distillery for scotch whisky in Asia, and indulge in some of the best spirits. In the evening, head to the Lower Mall Road, which is lined with shops selling local handicrafts and souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Monkey Point and Baptist Church
    15 minutes (6.1 km) from Sunset Point

    Start your day early and head to Monkey Point, the highest point in Kasauli, for a panoramic view of the town and the surrounding valley. Here, you can also spot troops of monkeys playing and jumping around. Afterward, make your way to the Baptist Church, one of the oldest churches in Himachal Pradesh. This church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and serene atmosphere. In the afternoon, visit the Kasauli Club, a colonial-era clubhouse that offers a variety of recreational activities like tennis, billiards, and card games. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll on the Upper Mall Road, which offers stunning views of the valley and the hills.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, explore the Gurkha Fort, a historical site built in the early 19th century. Also, consider taking a day trip to Chail, a nearby hill station known for its lush forests and scenic views. To maximize your fun, don't forget to try some of the local delicacies like Sidu, Madra, and Sepu Vadi. Lastly, make sure to carry comfortable walking shoes as Kasauli has a lot of walking trails that offer scenic views.
