Start your morning by walking the peaceful circumference of Pushkar Lake, a holy site for Hindus, and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding temples. At the north end of the lake, visit the Brahma Temple, one of the very few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma, one of the holy trinity of Hinduism. After lunch, head to the nearby Pushkar Camel Fairgrounds for a camel ride through the Thar Desert and enjoy the sunset over the sand dunes. End the day with dinner and live music at the Desert Sunset Camp.
Start your day early by hiking up to the Savitri Temple to catch the sunrise over Pushkar. After breakfast, head to the Pushkar Adventure Desert Camp for a day of zip-lining, ATV riding, and sandboarding. For lunch, enjoy a traditional Rajasthani thali at the camp. End the day with a relaxing sunset yoga session on the sand dunes and a delicious dinner under the stars.
Aside from the itinerary, you may also consider visiting the Pushkar Bazaar to shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs. For a side trip, visit the nearby town of Ajmer, home to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the tomb of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti. To maximize your fun, consider booking a hot air balloon ride over the Thar Desert. Don't forget to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen as temperatures can reach up to 40°C (104°F) in June.
