Traveling around Tahiti is mainly done by car. Renting a car is the best option for tourists, and many car rental companies can be found at the airport, with daily rates ranging from 5500 CFP to 7700 CFP. There are also guided tours available for those who prefer not to drive themselves. Taxi services are also available, but can be quite expensive.
If you have more time to spare, consider visiting the Point Venus lighthouse, the Gauguin Museum, or hiking the Aorai Mountain. If you have less time, you may want to skip the Lagoonarium and spend more time on the beach or at the museum. Remember to bring plenty of sunscreen, water, comfortable shoes for hiking, and cash or a credit card for purchases.
