Exploring Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada and Sinquerim Beach
    25 minutes (8.3 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, head to Fort Aguada, an ancient Portuguese fort that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. Walk around the fort and learn about its history. After lunch, head to Sinquerim Beach, a calm and serene beach that's perfect for swimming and relaxing. Take a dip in the water or sunbathe on the beach. In the evening, head to the local night market to shop for souvenirs and try some local street food.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls and Spice Plantation
    2 hours 15 minutes (75 km) from Sinquerim Beach

    In the morning, head to Dudhsagar Falls, a stunning four-tiered waterfall located in the middle of a forest. Enjoy the scenic drive to the falls and then hike to the top to take in the view. After lunch, visit a nearby spice plantation to learn about the spices and herbs grown in Goa. Take a tour of the plantation and try some of the delicious local cuisine. In the evening, head back to your hotel for a relaxing night in.

  3. Day 3: Old Goa and Dona Paula
    30 minutes (16.5 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

    In the morning, head to Old Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's home to several stunning churches and cathedrals. Take a tour of the churches and learn about the history of Portuguese colonization in Goa. After lunch, head to Dona Paula, a beautiful beach that's perfect for relaxing and taking in the sunset. Enjoy some water sports or just sit back and watch the waves. In the evening, head to a local restaurant for some authentic Goan cuisine.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider taking a day trip to the nearby town of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's home to stunning temples and ruins. You can also take a boat ride on the Mandovi River or try some of the famous cashew feni that's made in Goa. To maximize your fun, make sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the warm weather. Finally, don't forget to try some of the local seafood, which is delicious in Goa!
