City Experiences: A 3-Day Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Panaji
    30 minutes (12 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the beautiful Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in Goa. Then, head to Fontainhas, Panaji's Latin Quarter, for a stroll amongst the brightly coloured Portuguese-style houses. Have lunch at Viva Panjim, a cosy little restaurant serving delicious Goan cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art, which has an impressive collection of Indo-Portuguese art. In the evening, take a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River and witness mesmerising views of the city.

  2. Day 2: Margao
    40 minutes (30 km) from Panaji

    Start your day with a visit to the Margao Market, where you can buy fresh produce and local spices. Then, head to the nearby Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium to see a traditional Goan sport, such as football or cricket. After lunch, visit the Monte Hill, a picturesque spot with a chapel and a view of the city. In the evening, go to the Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium to watch a local dance or music performance.

  3. Day 3: Vasco da Gama
    30 minutes (10 km) from Margao

    Start your day with a visit to the Naval Aviation Museum, which showcases the history of naval aviation in India. Then, head to the Bogmalo Beach, a beautiful spot with crystal-clear waters. Have lunch at the beachside restaurant and enjoy the sea breeze. In the afternoon, take a ferry to the nearby Chorao Island, which is known for its bird sanctuary and mangrove forests. In the evening, visit the St. Andrew's Church, which is one of the oldest in Goa and has a beautiful facade.
