Two-Day Itinerary for Shiridi and Agra Mini Taj Mahal in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Shiridi
    Shiridi Sai Baba Temple - 10 minutes (2.3 km) from Shiridi Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit the famous Shiridi Sai Baba Temple, a popular pilgrimage site. The temple opens early in the morning at 4 am, and the first aarti takes place at 4:30 am. Witness the mesmerizing morning aarti and seek blessings from Sai Baba. In the afternoon, visit Dwarkamai mosque, located adjacent to the Sai Baba temple. The mosque houses the Holy Fire lit by Sai Baba and other artifacts related to him. In the evening, visit Khandoba Temple, located on the main road, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be one of the oldest temples in Shiridi.

  2. Day 2: Agra Mini Taj Mahal
    Agra Mini Taj Mahal - 15 minutes (4.5 km) from Agra Fort Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the Agra Mini Taj Mahal, a replica of the original Taj Mahal. This monument is quite popular among tourists, and its grandeur will leave you in awe. The monument is open from 8 am to 6 pm. In the afternoon, visit the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. The fort is open from 6 am to 6 pm and has many interesting spots like the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, and Jahangir Palace. In the evening, you can experience the famous street food of Agra at Sadar Bazaar. The place is famous for its chaats, pani-puri, and other local delicacies.

Recommendations

If you have time, you can also visit the Shani Shingnapur Temple in Shiridi, which is around 60 km from the Sai Baba temple. It is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shani and is quite popular among tourists. Another interesting side trip from Agra is Fatehpur Sikri, which is a city founded by Akbar in the 16th century. This abandoned city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to many historical monuments. Finally, to maximize your fun, you can book a hot air balloon ride in Agra, which will give you a bird's eye view of the Taj Mahal and the surrounding area.
