4-Day City Experience Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Old Goa
    25 minutes (10.9 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Old Goa was once the colonial capital of Goa. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the imposing Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia, which took almost 80 years to construct. Don't miss the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. In the afternoon, visit the Archaeological Museum of Goa, which has a vast collection of sculptures and artifacts. End the day with a beautiful sunset view at Miramar Beach.

  2. Day 2: Explore Panaji
    20 minutes (7.9 miles) from Old Goa

    Panaji, the state capital, has a unique charm with its Portuguese architecture and narrow streets. Start the day with a visit to the Baroque-style Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, one of the oldest in Goa. Then, head to the colorful Altinho neighborhood, where you can see beautiful colonial mansions. In the afternoon, visit the Goa State Museum, which showcases the state's history and culture. Finish the day with a sunset view from Dona Paula viewpoint.

  3. Day 3: Visit Margao
    40 minutes (16.6 miles) from Panaji

    Margao is the commercial hub of South Goa. Start the day with a visit to the stunning Rachol Seminary, founded in the 16th century. Next, head to the nearby Shri Manguesh Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Colva Beach for some relaxation. End the day with a visit to the Monte Hill, which offers a panoramic view of the city.

  4. Day 4: Discover Mapusa
    30 minutes (12.7 miles) from Margao

    Mapusa is a bustling market town in North Goa. Start the day with a visit to the famous Friday Market, where you can buy a variety of goods, including spices, clothes, and souvenirs. Next, head to the nearby Arvalem Caves, which are said to be more than 1,500 years old. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Anjuna Beach, known for its flea market and nightlife.
