Exploring Kelra Wayanadu in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves
    30 minutes (8.8 km) from Kalpetta

    In the morning, visit the Edakkal Caves, an ancient site with rock carvings that date back thousands of years. Take a guided tour to learn about the history and significance of the carvings.   2. Day 2: Chembra Peak

    In the morning, visit the Thirunelli Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Take a dip in the holy Papanasini river that flows nearby. In the afternoon, head to the Kuruvadweep Island, a lush green island surrounded by the Kabini River. Take a walk around the island and explore the flora and fauna. In the evening, visit the Karapuzha Dam, a beautiful dam with serene surroundings.
