Other experiences to try include taking a bike tour around the city, or going on a trek to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls. You can also consider a side trip to the nearby state of Karnataka to visit the historic city of Hampi. To maximize fun, try local cuisine such as the popular fish curry rice and savor some Feni, the locally brewed alcoholic drink. Lastly, make sure to take advantage of the city's famous beaches and enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze.
