4-Day Nature Itinerary for Goa in July 2024

  1. Day 1: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    1 hour 30 minutes (42 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India, cascading down from a height of 1017 feet. Trek through the lush green jungle and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the waterfall. Spend the evening at the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, home to various wildlife species such as the Indian Bison, Sambar Deer, and Wild Boar.

  2. Day 2: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary
    1 hour 30 minutes (30 miles) from Dudhsagar Waterfalls

    In the morning, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, a paradise for bird lovers, that houses both local and migratory birds such as the White-bellied Sea Eagle and the Great Indian Hornbill. Spend the afternoon at the Divar Island, a tiny island that offers mesmerizing views of the Mandovi River and is a perfect place for a lazy afternoon picnic. In the evening, explore the Spice Plantation, that offers guided tours, showcasing a variety of spices such as cardamom, black pepper, and cinnamon.

  3. Day 3: Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 20 minutes (24 miles) from Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

    In the morning, head to the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, a vast wildlife sanctuary that houses endangered animals such as the Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, and Indian Hare. Take a trek through the dense forests and enjoy the scenic beauty of the sanctuary. In the afternoon, visit the Arvalem Caves, an ancient cave complex that dates back to the 6th century. Spend the evening at the Anjuna Beach, a serene beach famous for its flea market and party scene.

  4. Day 4: Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary
    2 hours 30 minutes (60 miles) from Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary

    In the morning, head to the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, a dense forest that houses various wildlife species such as the Malabar Giant Squirrel and the Indian Pangolin. Trek through the forest and enjoy the sounds of nature. In the afternoon, visit the Cabo de Rama Fort, an ancient fort that offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Spend the evening at the Palolem Beach, a stunning beach that offers beach shacks, water sports, and breathtaking sunsets.

If you have time, you can also consider visiting the Mollem National Park, the Tambdi Surla Waterfall, and the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary.
