7-Day Adventure Itinerary: Delhi to Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Delhi to Rishikesh
    5 hours (240 km) from Delhi

    In the morning, visit the iconic Red Fort or Humayun's Tomb before departing for Rishikesh. In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling rafting experience in the Ganges. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan.

  2. Day 2: Rishikesh to Auli

    In the morning, visit the Trimbakeshwar Temple and the Neer Garh Waterfall. In the afternoon, drive to Auli, a scenic hill station, where you can go trekking or take a cable car ride to the top of the mountain. In the evening, enjoy stargazing in the clear mountain skies.

  3. Day 3: Auli to Joshimath to Badrinath
    4 hours (40 km) from Auli to Joshimath and 1 hour (43 km) from Joshimath to Badrinath

    In the morning, visit the Narsingh Temple and the Kalpavriksha Tree in Joshimath. In the afternoon, drive to Badrinath, one of the four sacred dhams of Hinduism and visit the Badrinath Temple. In the evening, take a dip in the Tapt Kund hot water springs.

  4. Day 4: Badrinath to Kedarnath
    7 hours (225 km) from Badrinath

    In the morning, drive to Sonprayag and then trek to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, visit the Kedarnath Temple and the Bhairon Nath Temple. In the evening, attend the evening puja ceremony.

  5. Day 5: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
    17 km trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund and 28 km (1 hour) from Gaurikund to Guptkashi

    In the morning, trek back to Gaurikund and then drive to Guptkashi. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple and the Ardhnarishwar Temple. In the evening, explore the local markets and try some local delicacies.

  6. Day 6: Guptkashi to Haridwar
    6 hours (200 km) from Guptkashi

    In the morning, drive to Haridwar and visit the Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple. In the afternoon, attend the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony at Har Ki Pauri. In the evening, explore the local markets and shop for souvenirs.

  7. Day 7: Haridwar to Delhi
    5 hours (220 km) from Haridwar

    In the morning, visit the Daksheswara Mahadev Temple and the Maya Devi Temple. In the afternoon, drive back to Delhi and spend some time shopping at the local markets. In the evening, take a scenic boat ride at the Lotus Temple.

Recommendations
