Family-Friendly 4-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh and Dehradun in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Ram Jhula Bridge, Rishikesh
    20 minutes (5.2 km) from Rishikesh Bus Station

    Start your day at the iconic Ram Jhula Bridge. Take a stroll along the bridge and marvel at the stunning views of the river Ganges. Head to the Triveni Ghat for an early morning dip in the holy river. After a refreshing start to your day, head to the Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram. Take a guided tour of the ashram and learn about the history of the Beatles' stay in Rishikesh. Finish your day by relaxing at the Ganga Beach and watching the sunset over the river.

  2. Day 2: Robber's Cave and Tapkeshwar Temple, Dehradun
    1 hour 10 minutes (30.6 km) from Rishikesh

    Spend the morning exploring Robber's Cave, also known as Gucchupani. Take a trek through the cave and witness the magnificent waterfall inside the cave. In the afternoon, visit the Tapkeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Take a dip in the natural sulphur water spring and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the temple.   3. Day 3: Sahastradhara Waterfalls and Buddha Temple, Dehradun

    Start your day by visiting the Sahastradhara Waterfalls, also known as the "Thousand Fold Spring". Take a dip in the medicinal water spring and enjoy the scenic beauty of the waterfalls. In the afternoon, visit the Mindrolling Monastery and Buddha Temple. Take a guided tour of the monastery and learn about the history of the temple. End your day with a visit to the Rajaji National Park, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

  4. Day 4: Laxman Jhula and Neer Garh Waterfall, Rishikesh

    Begin your day with a visit to the Laxman Jhula, a suspension bridge that connects the two banks of the river Ganges. Take a walk on the bridge and enjoy the scenic beauty of the river. End your day with a visit to the Parmarth Niketan Ashram and participate in the evening Ganga Aarti.
