Adventure-packed 3-day Goa itinerary for August 2023

  1. Day 1: Scuba Diving in Grand Island
1 hour (25 miles) from Goa International Airport

Start your adventure with a thrilling Scuba Diving experience in the crystal clear waters of Grand Island. The morning offers the best visibility and you can explore the beautiful coral reefs and vibrant marine life. After lunch, you can indulge in some water sports like jet skiing or banana boat ride. In the evening, take a stroll at the Baga beach and enjoy the sunset with a chilled beer.

  2. Day 2: Trekking in Dudhsagar Waterfalls
2 hours (48 miles) from Baga Beach

Get ready for a trek to the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfalls, which is the highest waterfall in Goa. Start your trek early morning, and you will be rewarded with the stunning view of the waterfalls amidst the lush green forest. You can take a refreshing dip in the waterfall and have a picnic lunch. On your way back, you can explore the spice plantations and try some traditional Goan cuisine for dinner.

  3. Day 3: White Water Rafting in Mandovi River
1 hour (31 miles) from Spice Plantations

Experience the adrenaline rush with an exciting white water rafting adventure in the Mandovi River. The monsoon season makes the river swell with rapids up to Grade 3, making it a perfect time to raft. After lunch, you can visit the beautiful Aguada Fort, which is a 17th-century Portuguese fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. End your day with a relaxing sunset river cruise with some cocktails and Goan music.

Recommendations

If you have an extra day, you can visit the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, which is an hour's drive from Dudhsagar Waterfalls. You can also try some local street food like Vada Pav, Goan Fish Curry, or Bebinca - a traditional Goan dessert. For a side trip, you can visit the peaceful village of Divar Island, only a short ferry ride from Old Goa. To maximize your fun, you can rent a bike or a scooter to explore the city on your own. Make sure you carry proper gear for each adventure.
