Two-Day Itinerary for Penang in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Penang Hill
    20 minutes (7.6 km) from Penang International Airport

    In the morning, take the funicular train up to Penang Hill and enjoy the panoramic views of the island. Visit the Owl Museum and learn about the different species of owls. For lunch, head over to David Brown's Restaurant and enjoy a meal with a view. In the afternoon, visit Kek Lok Si Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia. Marvel at the temple's architecture and take in the sights and sounds of the bustling market. In the evening, take a stroll around Armenian Street and be amazed by the street art and murals.

  2. Day 2: George Town Heritage Trail
    10 minutes (4.8 km) from Penang Hill

    Start your morning by visiting the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and learn about the history of the Baba Nyonya culture. Afterward, head over to the Chew Jetty and walk along the wooden stilts houses. For lunch, visit Tek Sen Restaurant and indulge in some Penang Peranakan cuisine. In the afternoon, take a walk around Fort Cornwallis, the largest standing fort in Malaysia. Learn about the history of the fort and the British colonial past. In the evening, visit the Clan Jetties and take a sunset stroll along the water.

Don't miss out on visiting the famous Batu Ferringhi Beach and indulge in some water sports activities.
