Recommendations

If you have extra time, we recommend visiting the Varkala Tunnel, which is a 924-feet-long tunnel built in the early 20th century. You can also go on a day trip to the nearby Ponnumthuruthu Island, which is known for its beautiful temple and scenic views. To maximize your fun, we suggest renting a bike or scooter to explore the town at your own pace. Don't forget to try some of the local delicacies, such as the fish curry and appam, and buy some souvenirs to take back home.
