Two-Day Itinerary from Coimbatore to Wayanad in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Coonoor

    Afternoon: Head to the Dolphin's Nose viewpoint for panoramic views of the Nilgiri hills and Catherine Falls. You can also visit the tea factories in Coonoor and learn about the tea-making process.

    Evening: End your day with a visit to the Ooty Lake, a popular boating spot surrounded by lush greenery.

  2. Day 2: Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
    3 hours 40 minutes (96.3 miles) from Coonoor

    Morning: Explore the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to elephants, tigers, leopards, and various other animals. Opt for a guided tour to learn about the flora and fauna of the region.

    Afternoon: Head to the Edakkal Caves, an archaeological site with carvings dating back to the Neolithic age. The caves are located on top of a hill and require a short hike to reach.

    Evening: End your day by visiting the Banasura Sagar Dam, where you can go boating or simply enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding hills.
