3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Indore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Pipliyapala Regional Park
    30 minutes (9.7 km) from Indore Airport

    In the morning, head over to Pipliyapala Regional Park for an exciting day of adventure. You can start with zip-lining over a lake, followed by a hot air balloon ride for a bird's eye view of the park and the city of Indore. In the afternoon, take a stroll around the park's Japanese garden, and then go paddle boating or kayaking on the lake. In the evening, enjoy the musical fountain show before heading back to your hotel.

  2. Day 2: Mandu
    2 hours 20 minutes (95.7 km) from Indore City

    Today, take a day trip to the historic town of Mandu. In the morning, visit the Jahaz Mahal, a palace built in the shape of a ship, and the Hindola Mahal, known for its sloping walls. In the afternoon, explore the vast ruins of the Mandu Fort, including the massive Jami Masjid and the ornate Hoshang Shah's Tomb. In the evening, head back to Indore and stop by the Sarafa Bazaar, a popular food street, for some local delicacies.

  3. Day 3: Omkareshwar
    1 hour 50 minutes (78.3 km) from Indore City

    For your last day of adventure, visit the holy town of Omkareshwar. In the morning, take a boat ride on the Narmada River and visit the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 most sacred Shiva shrines in India. In the afternoon, hike up to the top of the Omkareshwar Parvat for panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. In the evening, explore the town's colorful bazaars before heading back to Indore.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary for a trekking adventure or the Lal Bagh Palace, a 19th-century palace turned museum. For a side trip, visit the nearby city of Ujjain, known for its ancient temples. To maximize your fun, try out some of the local street food, such as poha, jalebi, and chaat. Don't forget to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent for your outdoor adventures.
