2-Day Foodie Itinerary in Goa - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Margao
    30 minutes (12.8 km) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your day at the famous Margao Market, where you can explore the local produce and spices. Don't forget to sample some of the local breakfast specialties like pao-bhaji and misal-pao at the street food stalls.

    Afternoon: Visit the nearby Rachol Seminary, which houses an impressive collection of Goan Christian art and artifacts. For lunch, head to Vinayak Family Restaurant for some authentic Goan fish curry and rice.

    Evening: Explore the historic Largo de Igreja square, which has some beautiful old Portuguese-style buildings. Take a stroll down Abade Faria Road and indulge in some freshly baked Goan sweets like bebinca and dodol at Confeitaria 31 De Janeiro.

  2. Day 2: Panaji
    30 minutes (11.4 km) from Margao

    Morning: Start your day with breakfast at Cafe Suzette, which is famous for its French-inspired breakfast dishes like croissants and crepes. After breakfast, take a walk around the historic Fontainhas neighborhood, which is known for its colorful Portuguese-style houses.

    Afternoon: Head over to the sprawling Reis Magos Fort, which has been recently restored and now houses a museum and art gallery. For lunch, try some traditional Goan pork vindaloo and sol kadi at Viva Panjim.

    Evening: Visit the famous Miramar Beach to catch a beautiful sunset view over the Arabian Sea. For dinner, head to Black Sheep Bistro for some modern Goan fusion cuisine, like chorizo and bacon risotto or prawn and mango ceviche.
