Morning: Begin your adventure at Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. Scale the peak and witness the stunning views from the top. If you have more time, you can also visit the famous Belur and Halebid temples, which are located within 50 miles of Chikmagalur. For a side trip, you can visit the nearby town of Sringeri which is famous for its ancient Sharada Peetham and the Vidyashankara Temple. To maximize your fun, try to plan your trip to coincide with the annual coffee festival which takes place in Chikmagalur in December. Don't forget to try the local cuisine which is a mix of Malnad and Udupi cuisine.
