Exploring Mantralaya in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mantralaya
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

    Mantralaya is the administrative headquarters of the Government of Maharashtra, housing offices of the Chief Minister and other ministers. Start your day with a visit to the iconic building and marvel at its grandeur. Take a stroll around the gardens or relax by the fountain. For lunch, head to the nearby Kamats restaurant, known for its authentic Maharashtrian Thali. In the afternoon, visit the Gateway of India, a monumental arch overlooking the Arabian sea. Take a boat ride to the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the ancient rock-cut temples with beautiful carvings. In the afternoon, visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the Victorian Gothic architecture.
