7-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kaza, Kalpa, Tirthan Valley, Jibhi, and Spiti Valley

  1. Day 1: Kaza
    6 hours (210 km) from Shimla

    Visit Komic Monastery, one of the world's highest motorable village. Drive to Langza village and take a short hike to witness the ancient fossils in rocks. End the day with a visit to the Key Monastery.

  2. Day 2: Kalpa
    5 hours (200 km) from Kaza

    Start the day with an early breakfast and drive to Kinnaur Kailash for a trek to Charang Valley. Depending on the time and weather, drive to Roghi village for a visit to the temple and apple orchards. Overnight stay in Kalpa.

  3. Day 3: Tirthan Valley
    7 hours (200 km) from Kalpa

    Explore the beautiful Great Himalayan National Park with a nature walk and bird-watching trip. Afternoon fishing at Tirthan river followed by a visit to the waterfall. Overnight stay at a homestay in Tirthan Valley.

  4. Day 4: Jibhi
    1 hour (30 km) from Tirthan Valley

    Drive to the nearby picturesque hamlet of Jibhi and hike to the Chaini Kothi, an old fort-like structure. Have lunch at the riverside cafes and end the day with a visit to the Shringa Rishi Temple.

  5. Day 5-6: Spiti Valley
    6 hours (200 km) from Jibhi

    Drive to Spiti valley and check-in to a hotel in Kaza. Hike to Dhankar Monastery, attend the morning prayers, and enjoy the panoramic views of Spiti Valley. Explore the Pin Valley National Park, Kibber Village, and wildlife sanctuary. Visit the Tabo Monastery and end the day with a stargazing session in Kaza.

  6. Day 7: Departure
    4 hours (200 km) from Kaza to Bhuntar Airport

    Depart for Bhuntar Airport or explore Kaza on your own before leaving. End of the trip.
