Goa Getaway in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada
    30 minutes (9.5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Start your trip by exploring the historic Fort Aguada, built-in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and Marathas. In the morning, tour the fort, the lighthouse, and the prison. Take a break for lunch and a refreshing swim at the nearby Sinquerim Beach. In the late afternoon, stroll through the nearby Calangute Market, where you can buy souvenirs and local handicrafts. End the day with dinner and drinks at one of the restaurants in the area.

  2. Day 2: Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral
    20 minutes (6.4 miles) from Fort Aguada

    On your second day, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a baroque-style church that houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Afterward, head to Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia, dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria. For lunch, head to the nearby Anjuna Beach where you can have a relaxing afternoon soaking up the sun and sea. In the evening, explore the vibrant night markets of Anjuna and enjoy a local street food dinner.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours (47 miles) from Se Cathedral

    Wake up early for a visit to the famous Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. You can take a scenic train ride from Kulem to the falls and enjoy the breathtaking views on the way. After you reach the falls, take a refreshing dip in the cool waters and enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to the city in the evening for a sumptuous seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants.

  4. Day 4: Fontainhas and Goa State Museum
    30 minutes (8 miles) from Dudhsagar Falls

    On your last day, take a leisurely stroll through the charming Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, with its colorful houses, winding streets and Portuguese architecture. Visit the Goa State Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of artifacts and exhibits that showcase the rich cultural heritage of Goa. In the evening, head to the Miramar Beach to enjoy the sunset and a late dinner at one of the beachside restaurants.
