2-Day Honeymoon Itinerary in Pondicherry (July 2023)

  1. Day 1: Promenade Beach
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Pondicherry Airport

    Start your day with a romantic sunrise walk along the Promenade Beach, also known as the Rock Beach. The 1.5 km long beach has a beautiful view of sunrise and serene surroundings. After breakfast, visit the famous Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple, which is just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and has a rich history. In the afternoon, visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, which is a peaceful and spiritual place. The ashram has a library, an art gallery, and a bookstore that are worth visiting. In the evening, enjoy a romantic boating experience at the Chunnambar Boat House, which is about 10 km away from the ashram.

  2. Day 2: Paradise Beach and Arikamedu
    30 minutes (8.4 km) from Chunnambar Boat House

    On day 2, start your day with a visit to the Paradise Beach, which is accessible only by boat. The beach is known for its crystal clear water, white sand, and palm trees. Spend some time relaxing before heading to Arikamedu, an ancient Roman trade center. The excavations at Arikamedu have revealed that it had a thriving trade with Rome and Greece. In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Garden, which houses a variety of exotic plants and trees. In the evening, end your honeymoon trip with a romantic dinner at one of the many coastal restaurants in Pondicherry.
