5-Day Foodie Itinerary for Benaulim Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Varca Beach
    9 minutes (2.6 km) from Benaulim Beach

    In the morning, head to Varca Beach and enjoy some authentic Goan breakfast at one of the shacks such as Fisherman's Wharf. Afternoon can be spent relaxing at the beach and trying out some seafood delicacies at Zeebop by the Sea. In the evening, visit the famous Mahadev Temple and witness the beautiful sunset.

  2. Day 2: Explore Margao City
    14 minutes (6.1 km) from Benaulim Beach

    In the morning, explore the vibrant and bustling Margao City and visit the Municipal Market to witness the local produce and try out some Goan sweets. Afternoon can be spent at the Colva Beach and trying out some mouth-watering Goan cuisine at Martin's Corner. In the evening, head to the Monte Hill for a panoramic view of the city.

  3. Day 3: Visit Dudhsagar Waterfall
    1 hour 44 minutes (57.1 km) from Benaulim Beach

    Start early in the morning to visit the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfall and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters. Afternoon can be spent at the spice plantation learning about the various spices used in Goan cuisine and enjoying a traditional lunch. In the evening, head back to Benaulim Beach and catch the beautiful sunset.

  4. Day 4: Experience the Goan Village Life
    17 minutes (7.5 km) from Benaulim Beach

    In the morning, visit the Rachol Seminary and Museum to learn about the rich history of Goa. Afterwards, head to a local Goan village and experience the traditional way of life. Enjoy a traditional lunch at one of the village homestays. In the evening, visit the Palacio do Deao and enjoy a scenic sunset river cruise along the Chapora River.

  5. Day 5: Indulge in Goan Nightlife
    17 minutes (7.3 km) from Benaulim Beach

    In the morning, head to the Cabo de Rama Fort and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Afternoon can be spent at the Betalbatim Beach enjoying some beach activities and trying out some street food. In the evening, head to the Tito's Club or Club Cubana and dance the night away to the beats of some of the best DJs in Goa.

Recommendations

If you have time, don't miss out on visiting the Aguada Fort and the Basilica of Bom Jesus. You can also take a day trip to the nearby Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary or the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. To maximize your fun, try out some adventure sports such as parasailing, jet-skiing, and scuba diving. Make sure to try out some local drinks such as Feni and Cashew Feni. Finally, don't leave Goa without buying some souvenirs such as cashew nuts, Goan spices, and handmade pottery.
