3-Day Srisailam Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Srisailam

    In the morning, visit the famous Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Marvel at the intricate carvings of the temple and learn about its history. In the afternoon, head to Akka Mahadevi Caves, a 45-minute ride away from the temple. The caves are named after a famous Kannada poet and saint. In the evening, take a relaxing ride to Srisailam Dam, which is 20 minutes away from Akka Mahadevi Caves. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the dam and the surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Explore Srisailam Wildlife Sanctuary and Sakshi Ganapati Temple
    1 hour 20 minutes (55 km) from Srisailam Dam

    In the morning, ride to Srisailam Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to many endangered species such as tigers, leopards, and Indian pangolins. Go on a safari to see these majestic animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, head to Sakshi Ganapati Temple, which is located inside the sanctuary. This temple is famous for its unique architecture and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. In the evening, return to Srisailam and visit the ancient ruins of Panchadhara, just 15 minutes away from the city center. These ruins are believed to be from the Satavahana period and are an important archaeological site.

  3. Day 3: Visit Shikaresvara Temple and Srisailam Dam View Point
    1 hour (42 km) from Panchadhara

    In the morning, ride to Shikaresvara Temple, which is located on a hilltop and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a popular pilgrimage site. In the afternoon, head to the Srisailam Dam View Point, which is just 20 minutes away from the temple. Enjoy the panoramic view of the dam and the lush greenery around it. In the evening, take a ride to Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve, which is 50 minutes away from the dam. If you have extra time, consider visiting the Bhramaramba Devi Temple, which is located next to the Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple.
