Family-Friendly 3-Day Itinerary from Mysore to Maldives in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Malé, Maldives
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Velana International Airport

    Start your trip in Malé, the capital city of Maldives. Visit the Grand Friday Mosque, the largest mosque in the country, and explore the nearby local market. In the afternoon, take a ferry to Villimale Island, where you can relax on the beach or go snorkeling. In the evening, head back to Malé for dinner at a local restaurant and try some traditional Maldivian cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Maafushi Island, Maldives
    1 hour and 10 minutes (16.8 miles) from Malé

    Take a speedboat to Maafushi Island, where you can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities. Go on a dolphin watching tour in the morning, followed by a visit to the turtle conservation center. In the afternoon, take a guided snorkeling tour and swim with colorful fish and turtles. Wrap up the day with a sunset dinner on the beach.

  3. Day 3: Hulhumalé, Maldives
    1 hour and 30 minutes (19.8 miles) from Maafushi Island

    On your last day, visit Hulhumalé, a reclaimed artificial island near Malé. Start the day with a visit to the Hulhumalé Central Park, where you can have a picnic with your family. In the afternoon, head to Hulhumalé Beach, where your kids can play on the playground while you relax on the sand. End the day with a sunset cruise around the island.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the South Malé Atoll, where you can go on a snorkeling tour to see manta rays and whale sharks.
