Two-Day Itinerary for Alibaug in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Alibaug Beach
    5 minutes (1 mile) from Alibaug Bus Stand

    Start your day by taking a relaxing swim in the Arabian Sea at Alibaug Beach. Enjoy the morning breeze while taking a walk or jog on the sandy beach. Visit the Kanhoji Angre Island, which can be seen in the distance, and learn about the history of the Maratha Navy. For lunch, check out the local food stalls offering delicious Maharashtrian delicacies like Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, and Pithla Bhakri. Spend the afternoon playing beach volleyball and enjoying water sports like parasailing and jet skiing. In the evening, watch the sunset while enjoying a local beer at a beachside shacks.

  2. Day 2: Kolaba Fort
    10 minutes (2 miles) from Alibaug Beach

    Start your day early and take a boat ride to Kolaba Fort, a 300-year-old fort built by Shivaji Maharaj. Marvel at the architectural brilliance of this fort, which was once a strategic naval station. You can spend your morning exploring the fort and its various structures like the Ganesh Temple, the Lighthouse, and the freshwater well. For lunch, visit the nearby restaurants serving seafood like Prawns, Bombay Duck, and Pomfret. In the afternoon, take a stroll in the market area of Alibaug and shop for souvenirs. In the evening, head to Akshi Beach, 5 km from Alibaug, and watch the sunset while enjoying the serenity of the beach.
