Kutla Kheerganga Four-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Kasol and Trek to Chalal Village
    From Bhuntar Airport, Kasol is a 2-hour drive (31 km) via NH3

    In the morning, arrive at Kasol and have a delicious breakfast at one of the cafes. After that, start your 30-minute trek to the peaceful Chalal village surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Explore the village, witness the local culture, and have lunch at one of the cafes by the Parvati River. In the evening, relax by the river and enjoy the scenic beauty with some hot chai or coffee.

  2. Day 2: Trek from Chalal Village to Kutla
    From Chalal Village, it takes around 4-5 hours (9 km) to reach Kutla Hilltop

    Start your day early with breakfast and start the trek towards Kutla Hilltop. The trail to Kutla is challenging but filled with mesmerizing views of the Parvati Valley. Have lunch en route and carry enough water with you. After reaching the hilltop, relish the stunning mountain views and spend the evening around a bonfire with some music and snacks.

  3. Day 3: Trek from Kutla to Kheerganga
    From Kutla Hilltop, it takes around 5-6 hours (12 km) to reach Kheerganga

    Wake up early in the morning and start your journey towards Kheerganga. The trek is steep, so take small breaks and hydrate yourself frequently. The beautiful views of the valley make the trek worth all the effort. Reach Kheerganga by late afternoon and relax in the hot water springs. In the evening, visit the Shiva Temple and enjoy the delicious local food at the cafes.

  4. Day 4: Departure
    From Kheerganga, it takes around 4-5 hours to reach Bhuntar Airport (50 km) via NH3

    Start your day early, have breakfast at the cafes, and start your descent towards Barshaini. From Barshaini, take a cab to reach Bhuntar airport to catch your flight back home. Buy some souvenirs on the way back to cherish the memories of this beautiful journey.

Recommendations

Apart from the itinerary mentioned above, you can also visit Tosh Village, Manikaran Gurudwara, and explore the local markets in Kasol. You can also plan a day trip to the nearby village of Malana to experience the local Malana Cream. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the trek and wear comfortable shoes. Try to avoid the monsoon season as the trails can be slippery and dangerous. Lastly, don't forget to book your hotels and flights from here to avoid last-minute chaos.
