4-Day Kheerganga Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kheerganga Trek
    Starting point near Barshaini (13.3 miles from Kasol)
    Estimated time: 4-6 hours

    In the morning, start the Kheerganga trek from the base camp near Barshaini. The trek offers stunning views of the Parvati Valley and takes you through lush green forests and waterfalls. After a few hours of trekking, stop for lunch at one of the local dhabas. In the afternoon, continue the trek and arrive at Kheerganga by evening. Relax in the hot springs and enjoy the sunset. In the evening, have dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight in a camp.

  2. Day 2: Rudranag Waterfall and Tosh Village
    Starting point from Kheerganga (4.4 miles)
    Estimated time: 2-3 hours

    After breakfast, trek down to Rudranag waterfall. Take a dip in the freshwater and enjoy the scenic beauty. After spending some time there, trek to Tosh village. The village offers beautiful views of the Himalayas and the serenity of nature. Have lunch at a local restaurant and explore the village. In the evening, return to Kheerganga, have dinner and stay overnight in a camp.

  3. Day 3: Pin Parvati Pass Basecamp
    Starting point from Kheerganga (9.4 miles)
    Estimated time: 5-7 hours

    Today, you will trek to the Pin Parvati Pass Basecamp. The trek offers spectacular views of the valley and glaciers. Have lunch at a local dhaba on the way. In the afternoon, continue the trek and arrive at the base camp by evening. Set up your tent and enjoy the beauty of the place. In the evening, have dinner and stay overnight in a tent.

  4. Day 4: Return to Barshaini and Bid Adieu
    Starting point from Pin Parvati Pass Basecamp (10.6 miles)
    Estimated time: 5-7 hours

    After breakfast, start the trek back to Barshaini. Have lunch at a local restaurant before leaving. In the afternoon, reach Barshaini and say goodbye to the beautiful Parvati Valley. You can book a hotel in Kasol for the night and depart the next day.

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can visit the Malana village, Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, or go river rafting in the Beas River. You can also plan a side trip to the nearby towns of Manali or Shimla. To maximize your fun, make sure to carry comfortable trekking shoes, warm clothes, and raincoats. Don't forget to carry a first aid kit and a water bottle. Also, make sure to carry cash as there are limited ATMs in the area.
