2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Haridwar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Har Ki Pauri
    Located in Haridwar city center
    Time and Distance Estimate: 10 minutes (1 mile) from Haridwar Railway Station

    In the morning, visit Har Ki Pauri, the most famous and sacred spot in Haridwar. Take a dip in the holy Ganges and witness the daily Ganga Aarti at sunset. In the afternoon, explore the local markets near Har Ki Pauri. You can find a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs here. In the evening, take a stroll along the Ganges riverbank and enjoy the local street food.

  2. Day 2: Chandi Devi Temple and Mansa Devi Temple
    Located on opposite hills in Haridwar
    Time and Distance Estimate: Both temples are 15 minutes (3 miles) from Haridwar Railway Station

    In the morning, take a cable car ride to Chandi Devi Temple, located on a hilltop overlooking the city. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Chandi Devi. Afternoon, visit the Mansa Devi Temple, located on the opposite hill. This temple is dedicated to the goddess Mansa Devi and offers panoramic views of Haridwar. In the evening, visit Rajaji National Park for a jeep safari and spot some wildlife in their natural habitat.

You can also take a side trip to Rishikesh, located just 20 km from Haridwar. Don't forget to try local delicacies like aloo puri, kachori, and jalebi when in Haridwar.
