2-Day Itinerary from Delhi to Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar
    4 hours 47 minutes (225 km) from Delhi

    In the morning, start your journey towards Haridwar, a holy city situated on the banks of River Ganges. Visit the Har Ki Pauri ghat and participate in the morning aarti. In the afternoon, explore the city's famous temples, including Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. End your day by attending the evening aarti at the ghat and enjoying the local street food.

  2. Day 2: Haridwar to Kedarnath
    10 hours 50 minutes (242 km) from Haridwar

    In the morning, start your journey towards Kedarnath, one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites. After reaching Sonprayag, you can choose to trek, ride a pony, or take a helicopter to reach Kedarnath. Visit the Kedarnath Temple and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby areas, including Bhairav Temple and Gandhi Sarovar. In the evening, attend the Kedarnath aarti and enjoy the serene beauty of the place.

Recommendations

While in Haridwar, you can also visit the Rajaji National Park, which is about 30 km away. You can also plan a day trip to Rishikesh, located about an hour's drive from Haridwar, to explore its ashrams, temples, and adventure activities like white-water rafting and bungee jumping.
