To get around Tenerife and visit all the locations mentioned in this itinerary, we recommend renting a car. Public transportation can take longer and might not reach all the scenic locations as desired. The average car rental cost is 30€ per day, and the average cost of fuel is about 1.15€ per liter.
If you have extra days to spare, consider exploring other beautiful sights in Tenerife such as Puerto de la Cruz, La Laguna, and Los Gigantes cliffs. If you have less time, we recommend skipping Masca Valley as it can be time-consuming and can be challenging for those not used to hiking.
Tenerife has two major airports. Tenerife North Airport (TFN) located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, 11 km (6.8 miles) from the city center of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and Tenerife South Airport (TFS) located in Granadilla de Abona, about 60 km (37.2 miles) from the capital.
