2-Day Nature Itinerary for Kasol in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Malana Village
    1 hour 20 minutes (21.6 km) from Kasol

    Morning: After breakfast, head to Malana village, one of the oldest surviving democracies in the world. Take a leisurely walk around the village, observing the unique customs followed by the locals. Explore the narrow lanes and visit the ancient temple of Jamlu Devta. Don't forget to try the famous Malana Cream, a locally made hashish.

    Afternoon: Have lunch at any of the tiny eateries in the village. Then, embark on a trek to Chandrakhani Pass, located about 3500 meters above sea level. The trek will take about 4-5 hours, and you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Kullu valley.

    Evening: Return to the village and witness the sunset. Spend time with locals, get familiar with their culture and traditions.

  2. Day 2: Tosh Village
    1 hour 10 minutes (20.1 km) from Kasol

    Morning: After breakfast, proceed to Tosh Village, a serene hamlet situated at an altitude of 2400 meters above sea level. It is the perfect place for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Take a walk around the village, and you will come across many hidden waterfalls, streams, and quaint wooden houses.

    Afternoon: Head out on a trek to Kutla Village, a lesser-known gem. The trek will take about 3-4 hours, and you can experience the raw beauty of the majestic mountains.

    Evening: Return to Tosh village and relax in one of the many cafes. Enjoy the local delicacies, along with a hot cup of tea. Witness the starry night sky and the Milky Way. Retire for the day and prepare for your journey back home.

It is a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Sikhs and has hot water springs that are believed to have medicinal properties.
