4-Day Spiti Valley Honeymoon Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Shimla
    From Chandigarh Airport to Shimla (123 km, 3 hours)

    In the morning, arrive at Chandigarh Airport and drive to Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the beautiful hill station of Shimla. Take a stroll along the Mall Road, visit the famous Jakhu Temple, and enjoy the scenic views from the Ridge. In the evening, head back to your hotel and rest up for the next day's journey.

  2. Day 2: Shimla to Kalpa
    From Shimla to Kalpa (240 km, 8 hours)

    After breakfast, start your journey towards Kalpa, a small town located in Kinnaur district. On the way, you will pass through the beautiful towns of Narkanda, Rampur, and Reckong Peo. In the afternoon, arrive at Kalpa and check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the town and enjoying the beautiful views of the Kinnaur Kailash range.

  3. Day 3: Kalpa to Kaza
    From Kalpa to Kaza (200 km, 8 hours)

    After breakfast, start your journey towards Kaza, the largest town in the Spiti Valley. On the way, you will pass through the beautiful villages of Tabo and Dhankar. In the afternoon, arrive at Kaza and check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the town and acclimatizing to the altitude.

  4. Day 4: Kaza Sightseeing
    Within Kaza

    Today, explore the beautiful town of Kaza. Visit the famous Key Monastery, one of the largest and oldest monasteries in the Spiti Valley. Then, head to the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary to catch a glimpse of the rare and elusive snow leopard. Finally, visit the picturesque village of Langza, known for its fossil hunting and stunning views of the Chau Chau Kang Nelda peak. In the evening, head back to your hotel in Kaza.

If time permits, consider taking a detour to the beautiful villages of Pin Valley or Chandratal Lake. Another great way to maximize your fun in the Spiti Valley is by going on a trek. There are several trekking routes in the valley that will take you through some of the most stunning landscapes you'll ever see.
