5-Day Family Friendly Itinerary - Somnath and Dwarka from Pune

  1. Day 1: Somnath Temple
    15 hours (870 km) from Pune

    Visit the famous Somnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Witness the morning aarti and take a stroll around the temple complex, admiring the intricate architecture and beautiful surroundings.   2. Day 2: Gir National Park
    2 hours (90 km) from Somnath Temple

    Explore the Gir National Park, home to the rare Asiatic lion and a variety of other wildlife, including leopards, deer, and birds. Take a jeep safari through the park and spend the morning spotting the majestic lions and other animals. In the afternoon, head to the Devalia Safari Park, where you can get up close and personal with the animals at a safe distance.

  3. Day 3: Dwarkadhish Temple

    Visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the four sacred Char Dham Hindu pilgrimage sites and the main attraction in Dwarka. Afterward, head to the nearby Gomti Ghat for a boat ride and a visit to the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. In the evening, take a walk along the Dwarka Beach and watch the sunset.

  4. Day 4: Beyt Dwarka
    30 minutes (6 km) from Dwarkadhish Temple

    Take a ferry to Beyt Dwarka, an island located off the coast of Dwarka. Explore the ancient temples and visit the famous Beyt Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. Take a dip in the clear blue waters of the beach, go snorkeling, or simply relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the island. In the evening, head back to Dwarka for some local shopping and street food.

  5. Day 5: Rukmini Devi Temple and departure
    30 minutes (4 km) from Dwarkadhish Temple

    Visit the Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to the goddess Rukmini, the wife of Lord Krishna. Admire the intricate carvings and sculptures at the temple, and take part in the morning prayers. Afterward, head back to Pune for your flight back home.
