Start your day at The Ridge, a large open space in the heart of Shimla. In the morning, take a stroll around the area and enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas. Then, visit the Christ Church which is the oldest church in North India. It's beautiful stained-glass windows and stunning architecture is a must-see. For lunch, head to the nearby Indian Coffee House for some delicious coffee and snacks. In the afternoon, explore the famous Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is situated on a hilltop and offers breathtaking views of Shimla. In the evening, take a leisurely walk on Mall Road and shop for souvenirs to take back home.
On Day 2, head to Kufri, a picturesque hill station located near Shimla. Start your morning with a visit to the Himalayan Nature Park, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna. You can take a leisurely walk or a guided tour of the park. For lunch, head to the nearby Kufri Fun World, an amusement park with various rides and activities. In the afternoon, visit the Mahasu Peak, the highest peak in Kufri. You can either hike up to the peak or take a horse ride. The view from the top is simply breathtaking. In the evening, head back to Shimla and relax at your hotel.
If you're a nature lover, you can also visit the Chadwick Falls, which is located 7 kms from Shimla. It's a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. You can also do a day trip to Chail, which is 45 kms from Shimla. It's a serene hill station with beautiful views of the Himalayas. For adventure enthusiasts, you can go trekking to the Shali Tibba, which is the highest peak in the vicinity of Shimla. And finally, don't forget to try the local cuisine, especially the Himachali Dham, which is a traditional feast served on special occasions.
