Two-Day Adventurous Itinerary for Dudh Sagar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Dudh Sagar Waterfalls

    Morning: Start your trip with a morning hike to the Dudh Sagar Waterfalls, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. The trek is an excellent opportunity for photography enthusiasts to capture the flora and fauna of the Western Ghats. The trail passes through dense forests, railway tracks, and streams.

    Afternoon: Once you reach the waterfalls, take a dip in the natural pool and enjoy the picturesque view. Have your lunch while you admire the beauty of the waterfalls. You can also experience the thrilling activity of white water rafting in the nearby Mollem National Park.

    Evening: After a tiring day, retire to your hotel and relax.

  2. Day 2: Spice Plantations and Tambdi Surla Temple
    Distance from Dudh Sagar Waterfalls: 22 km (50 minutes)

    Morning: Visit a spice plantation and learn about the various spices produced in the region. You can take a guided tour of the plantation and see how spices like black pepper, cardamom, and cinnamon are grown and harvested. Take a stroll along the plantation, and relish a cup of refreshing herbal tea.

    Afternoon: Visit the Tambdi Surla Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Goa. The temple is small and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple has intricate carvings and is made of black basalt stone. The temple has been standing for over a thousand years and is a perfect example of ancient Indian architecture.

    Evening: Head back to your hotel and rest for the day before leaving for your next destination.
