Mumbai to Ajmer - 2 Day Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Jaipur
    4 hours (134 miles) from Mumbai

    Morning: Visit the Amber Fort, a stunning 16th-century fortress. Take an elephant ride up to the entrance and explore the various courtyards, halls, and gardens.

    Afternoon: Head to the City Palace, a complex of stunning palaces, courtyards, and gardens. Be sure to check out the museum, which displays a range of royal artifacts and costumes.

    Evening: Catch a glimpse of the Hawa Mahal, a beautiful pink sandstone palace. Arrive at sunset and watch the palace transform in the changing light.

  2. Day 2: Pushkar
    3 hours (89 miles) from Jaipur

    Morning: Visit the Brahma Temple, one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. Take a dip in the holy Pushkar Lake, which is said to have been created by Lord Brahma himself.

    Afternoon: Wander around Pushkar's colorful bazaars, which are filled with textiles, jewelry, and other handicrafts. Be sure to check out the Pushkar Camel Fair if it's happening during your visit.

    Evening: Watch the sunset from the top of the Savitri Temple, which offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding desert.

Recommendations

If you have some extra time, consider taking a side trip to Jodhpur, known as the Blue City. You could also visit Udaipur, the City of Lakes, which is known for its stunning palaces and beautiful natural surroundings.

Maximize your fun by trying some of the local Rajasthani cuisine, such as dal bati churma, gatte ki sabzi, and laal maas. You can also shop for some of the region's famous textiles, including block-printed fabrics and embroidered clothing.
