Exploring Mahabaleshwar in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Lingmala Waterfall
    16 minutes (4.7 miles) from Mahabaleshwar Bus Station

    In the morning, head to Lingmala Waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in Mahabaleshwar. Enjoy the scenic views of the mountains and lush green vegetation. Take a refreshing dip in the cool waters of the fall. In the afternoon, visit Mapro Garden to indulge in delicious strawberry shakes and ice creams. Later, head to Panch Ganga Temple, which is located at the confluence of five rivers. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Wilson Point, the highest point in Mahabaleshwar.

  2. Day 2: Pratapgarh Fort
    1 hour 8 minutes (23.4 miles) from Lingmala Waterfall

    On the second day, take a trip to Pratapgarh Fort, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Explore the fort, learn about its history and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, head to Venna Lake for boating and horse riding. Later, visit Mahabaleshwar Temple, one of the oldest temples in the town. In the evening, stroll along the markets of the town and enjoy some local snacks.

  3. Day 3: Elephant's Head Point
    25 minutes (7.8 miles) from Pratapgarh Fort

    On the last day, visit Elephant's Head Point, which is known for its rock formations that resemble an elephant's head. Enjoy the scenic views of the valley and the mountains. In the afternoon, head to Arthur's Seat, another popular viewpoint, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Later, head to Bombay Point for some more panoramic views. In the evening, visit the Elphinstone Point, which is located at the confluence of two rivers.
