Public transportation such as buses is also available but not recommended for tourists due to unreliable schedules and long transit times between destinations.

Alternatively, you can explore the city center of Banyuwangi for its cuisine and cultural offerings. If you have less time, skip Rajegwesi Beach and hike to the nearby waterfall instead.
Banyuwangi has a small international airport named Banyuwangi International Airport (BWX) located just 7.5 miles northwest of the city center. It only serves limited flights from major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bali or Surabaya. Alternatively, visitors can take a ferry from Bali to Ketapang Port, located just 6 miles from Banyuwangi city center.
