2-Day Family-Friendly Jim Corbett National Park Itinerary with a Special View on Food in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Jim Corbett Museum
    15 minutes (3.5 km) from Ramnagar

    In the morning, head to the Jim Corbett Museum to learn about the life and legacy of the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist, Jim Corbett. The museum features photographs, letters, and personal belongings of Jim Corbett, as well as a library with a vast collection of books on wildlife and conservation. For lunch, we recommend trying some of the local delicacies at the nearby Dhabas. In the afternoon, visit the Garjiya Devi Temple, located atop a hillock and surrounded by the Kosi River. End the day with a wildlife safari at the Bijrani Zone of the Jim Corbett National Park, which is known for its tiger sightings.

  2. Day 2: Corbett Falls
    30 minutes (25 km) from Ramnagar

    Start your day with a visit to the Corbett Falls, a picturesque waterfall located amidst dense forests. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the waterfall and try some local snacks like Bhang ki Pakodi and Bal Mithai. In the afternoon, head to the Sitabani Zone of the Jim Corbett National Park, which is known for its diverse wildlife and bird species. In the evening, head to the local markets in Ramnagar to shop for souvenirs and try some local street food like Kumaoni Raita and Kaafli.

If you have extra time, we recommend visiting the Dhikala Zone of the Jim Corbett National Park, which is known for its beautiful landscape and wide range of wildlife species. For a fun side trip, you can visit the Corbett Water Park, which is a great place to cool off on a hot summer day. To maximize your fun, try some adventure activities like rappelling, river crossing, and rock climbing at the Jim Corbett Adventure Resort. Lastly, we suggest you try some of the local sweets like Bal Mithai and Singori, which are made from Khoya and wrapped in Maalu leaves.
