4-Day Itinerary for Leh Ladakh in October 2024

  1. Day 1: Leh Palace
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Leh Airport

    In the morning, visit the Leh Palace that was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century. Take a guided tour of the palace and learn about its history and architecture. In the afternoon, visit the Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, a Buddhist monastery that is famous for its three-story high statue of Maitreya Buddha. In the evening, head to the Shanti Stupa to enjoy the stunning sunset views of the city.

  2. Day 2: Pangong Tso Lake
    4 hours (135 km) from Leh Palace

    Take an early morning drive to the world-famous Pangong Tso Lake. Enjoy the stunning views of the lake and the beautiful surrounding mountains. Spend the day exploring the area, taking a boat ride, or just relaxing by the lake. In the evening, head back to Leh.

  3. Day 3: Nubra Valley
    4 hours 30 minutes (120 km) from Pangong Tso Lake

    Take an early morning drive to Nubra Valley and visit the Diskit Monastery. Explore the sand dunes of Hunder and enjoy a camel ride. In the afternoon, visit the Yarab Tso Lake and enjoy a picnic by the lake. In the evening, head back to Leh.

  4. Day 4: Magnetic Hill
    30 minutes (28 km) from Nubra Valley

    Visit the Magnetic Hill, a natural wonder where vehicles seem to defy the laws of gravity. Stop by the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and pay your respects. In the afternoon, visit the Hall of Fame Museum and learn about the bravery of Indian soldiers. In the evening, explore the local markets and do some souvenir shopping.
