Relaxing 3-Day Itinerary for Madgaon in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Benaulim Beach
    15 minutes (5 miles) from Madgaon

    In the morning, start the day at Benaulim Beach, known for its serene and calm atmosphere. Take a dip in the Arabian Sea or simply bask in the sun. For lunch, head to the nearby Zeebop by the Sea and enjoy some of the freshest seafood around. In the afternoon, visit the nearby St. John the Baptist Church, built in the 16th century. In the evening, end the day with a stroll along the beach and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Colva Beach
    20 minutes (6 miles) from Benaulim Beach

    Start the day with a visit to Colva Beach, the largest beach in South Goa. Relax on the golden sands, take a swim, or indulge in some water sports. For lunch, head to the nearby Fisherman's Wharf and try some of their delicious prawn curry. In the afternoon, visit the Our Lady of Mercy Church, located in the heart of Colva. In the evening, take a walk along the beach and enjoy the cool sea breeze.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    1 hour 30 minutes (39 miles) from Colva Beach

    On the final day, take a day trip to Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Enjoy a scenic train ride through the lush green forests to reach the falls. Spend the morning swimming in the natural pool or taking a stroll around the falls. For lunch, pack a picnic and enjoy the views. In the afternoon, visit the Tambdi Surla Temple, a 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the evening, return to Madgaon and explore the local markets.

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Cabo de Rama Fort, a 16th-century fort with stunning views of the Arabian Sea. You can also take a day trip to the nearby Dudhsagar Spice Plantation and learn about the various spices grown in the region.
