Kothagiri to Ooty to Attapadi Itinerary - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Ooty Botanical Garden
    1 hour 20 minutes (25 miles) from Kothagiri

    In the morning, visit the Ooty Botanical Garden, which is spread over 55 acres of land. You will see more than 650 species of plants and trees, including ferns, orchids, and bonsai. It's an excellent place to take a relaxing stroll and enjoy the fresh air. Afterward, head to the nearby Tea Factory and Museum, where you can learn about the history of tea production and sample some of the best tea in South India. In the evening, visit the Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride and take in the serene surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Silent Valley National Park
    2 hours 30 minutes (60 miles) from Ooty

    Start the day on a scenic drive to the Silent Valley National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is home to many rare species of flora and fauna, including the lion-tailed macaque and the Nilgiri tahr. You can take a guided trek through the park to see the wildlife and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. Afterward, head to the Attappadi Reserve Forest, which is a protected area and considered one of the most beautiful places in Kerala. You can take a jeep safari through the forest to see some of the exotic animals and birds that live there.
